WI Visit Scorton Lakes
We were delighted to show members of Middleton Tyas WI around Scorton Lakes recently. A rainy day turned into a wonderful evening for walking and we even got to hear the booming sound of our very own resident bittern. A lovely evening was had by all.

Presentation by Joseph Buck of SSL to Richmond RSPB group
A large group from Richmond RSPB society attended a presentation by Joseph Buck of the Save Scorton Lakes Group. Joe gave an interesting and very worrying talk regarding the proposed upcoming development and the destruction of fauna and flora at Scorton Lakes Reserve.

SSL had a stand at the recent Scorton Feast 10k running event - it gave a great opportunity to talk with many people and further publicise our objectives
